Sports Review 1/6/20

High School Varsity Basketball:
-Adirondack girls fell short against Oneida 42-38.
-Holland Patent boys beat Sherburne-Earlville 71-54.
-Holland Patent girls lost a close battle to Cooperstown 52-47.
-Lowville boys were triumphant over Ogdensburg Free Academy 69-55.
-Poland girls defeated Sauquoit Valley 51-33.
-West Canada Valley boys beat Waterville 70-61.

NBA:
-The Knicks lost a heart-breaker to the Clippers 135-132.
-The Lakers beat the Pistons 106-99.

Syracuse Orange Basketball: The Orange went toe-to-toe against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in the Carrier Dome Saturday, just falling short by one: 88-87. The ‘Cuse seek to rebound against Virginia Tech tomorrow night back in the Carrier Dome.

NFL Wildcard Playoffs. 2020:
-The Bills fell short to the Texans in overtime 22-19. The Texans will battle against the Chiefs Sunday afternoon in the AFC Divisional.  
-The Patriots lost to the Titans 20-13. The Titans are set to rumble with the Ravens for the AFC Divisional Saturday night.
-The Vikings defeated the Saints 26-20 and will take on the 49’ers this Saturday afternoon for the NFC Divisional.
-The Seahawks topped the Eagles 17-9 and will face the Packers Sunday night in the NFC Divisional.

Utica Comets Hockey: The Comets took a weekend loss against the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-1. The next game is on the road Wednesday against the Belleville Senators.  

NHL:
-The Penguins were downed by the Panthers 4-1.
