WEST TURIN- Emergency responders say a fallen tree limb caused a snowmobiler to be ejected from his sled Wednesday evening in West Turin, resulting in critical injuries.

At just after 6:15 p.m., the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and the Constableville Fire Department were called out to reports of a one sled snowmobile accident on Smith Road/Trail C7B.

Emergency officials determined that Christopher M. Lysogorski, 22, of Albany, NY was traveling north and struck a large fallen tree limb head-on, throwing him from the sled. Police say the tree limb had fallen across the entire trail.

Lysogorski was taken to Lewis County General Hospital, where he was later sent to SUNY Upstate in Syracuse with reported critical injuries.
