Lewis County- The 38-year-old town of Diana man who was arrested earlier this spring for making methamphetamine entered a guilty plea Monday in Lewis County Court.

According to reports from WWNY-TV, Shane Jackson pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and 3rd-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine.

In April, state police were called to Jackson’s home at 6337 Old State Road after receiving a call from the residence regarding an ongoing physical dispute, where the caller hung-up and was unable to be reached again by police.

When troopers arrived at the home, they made a forced entrance through the front door after knocking and announcing several times they were the police. After troopers entered the home, they located 4 liquid ounces of methamphetamine and several items used in the manufacture the substance.

Jackson will be sentenced November 30 and faces eight-years behind bars.
