Lewis County man arrested on felony predatory sexual assault charge

Town of Croghan- Police are announcing the arrest of a Croghan, NY man after investigating claims of a Town of Croghan sex offence incident reported this past fall.

Alexander E. Jordan, 23, was charged Wednesday afternoon with one felony count of predatory sexual assault, the New York State Police in Lowville are reporting.

The arrest was made at 2:45 p.m. and stems from an alleged sexual offense incident, which was first reported to authorities on the evening of November 5.

As of press time, Jordan’s arrest status was listed as held. Authorities say the case is pending investigation, with evidence.
