Firefighters respond to kitchen fire in Remsen

REMSEN- Local firefighters responded to the scene of a kitchen fire Tuesday afternoon in Remsen, NY.

It happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. at 9628 Main Street, according to Oneida County 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch. According to fire officials, the structure is a multi-unit apartment building.

Remsen was the primary responder on scene. Barneveld provided mutual aid. Members from STaR Ambulance and the New York State Police assisted.

Emergency responders said that firefighters executed an aggressive interior attack. Their efforts managed to keep the flames contained to the apartment of origin.

As of this report, there are no injuries reported.
