31st annual Tug Hill Local Government Conference registration now open

Jefferson County, NY- Registration is now open for local North Country governments to participate in a 31st annual conference to be held in Watertown this spring, the Tug Hill Commission has announced.

According to officials, this yearly training venue draws over 700 attendees and over 25 exhibitors, and provides training and networking opportunities for town supervisors, village mayors, town and village board members, clerks, planning and zoning board members, highway superintendents, assessors and other government officials.

Counties including Jefferson, Lewis, Oneida and beyond are encouraged to register for the Tug Hill Commission’s 31st annual Local Government Training Conference. Several topics will be discussed, such as grant preparedness, cyber threat mitigation, the EMS crisis and its impact on municipal budgets, social media and the First Amendment, along with many others.

The conference will take place at Jefferson Community College on March 26, 2020.

Registration forms are available online. Regular registration fees are $50 and must be postmarked by Friday, March 6. Any registrations postmarked between March 7 and 13 will cost $100 and any registrations postmarked after March 13 will be $150.
