FRIDAY, AUGUST 10

A nasty thunder, lightning and rainstorm moved through
the area late yesterday afternoon and continued through the night. Here at
the station, rain totaled one inch with a 30 mph gust at 4:18 p.m. On the
Rector Road, out of Martinsburg, Rick Beyer reported 41 mph was measured at
12:59 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8

Three couples all celebrate 14th anniversaries today.
These include Chuck and Joanne Marmon of Boonville, Brian and Vicky
Karpinski of Boonville, and Jerry and Tracy Millard of Potters Corners, with love
and best wishes from their families and friends.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 7

This morning's low temperature of 47 degrees at 5:46
a.m. at the radio station has been the coldest since June 15 when it was 45
degrees. Lake Placid reported 43 degrees this morning.

MONDAY, AUGUST 6

It was another great weather weekend with only .38 inches
of rain early Sunday morning and late in the afternoon in the village. Once
again, the rain clouds split with heavy rain above and below Boonville
during the day.

Boonville Elks Lodge #2158 hosted their annual summer clambake with 220
attendees. The Elks prepared for the crowd by offering 880 dozen clams both
steamed and raw, 58 pounds of their sliced prime rib for sandwiches, countless
burgers, hotdogs and sausage sandwiches, salads, sweet corn, and emptied
eight barrels of beer. You can be sure no one went home hungry.
