Two women arrested following drug raid

on Tuesday, 19 March 2013.

Two women were arrested
following a drug raid in the Town of Lee.
Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies report that members of the Oneida
County Drug Enforcement Task Force along with the Oneida County Sheriff's
Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on March 14th at a
residence on State Route 26 in the Town of Lee.
Investigator's reportedly located a quantity of cocaine, drug
paraphernalia, and two long guns inside the residence.  2 individuals that were located inside the
residence, identified as 19 year old Sharice Whaley of Canastota and 23 year
old Katie Burns of Frankfort were taken into custody and charged with criminal possession
of a controlled substance 3rd degree, which is a class B felony,
criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th degree, which is a
class C felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th
degree, which is a class A misdemeanor.
Both women were arraigned in the Town of Lee Court and remanded to the
Oneida County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
